Foreign tourists visiting Romania increase in the first seven months of 2012

The number of tourists registered in Romania in the first seven months of this year, for arrivals and overnight stays, increased by 12.6%, compared with the same period of last year.

There were 4.1 million arrivals and 10 million overnight stays. The arrivals of foreign visitors to Romania registered at border crossings were 4.4 million, up 4.1%. Most of the foreign visitors came from European countries: Hungary (33.5%), Bulgaria (20.2%), Germany (9.2%), Italy (7.2%), Poland (6%), Austria (4.5%).
