By 2027 the container turnover will grow by 6 million TEU – Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure

This has been informed by Vladimir Sevryukov, Director of the Sea and River Transport Department at the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure, during the 6th International Container Summit - 2012.

According to him, the Ministry of Infrastructure elaborates a new strategy for port infrastructure development, where the container transportation will hold the key positions. That is why the Ministry undertakes the task to create the best possible conditions for the development of the container transportation in Ukraine.

It plans to enhance the regulatory legislation and to bring it to the compliance with the Law «On the sea ports», which must become effective in 2013. At present the Department works on amendments to two legislation acts («On peculiarities of piloting of containers» and «On cargo transit»).
