Chisinau council approves concept to reorganize thermal energy sector

The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) approved a concept on the reorganization of the thermal energy system of the municipality at a 17 September meeting.

The concept envisages the merger of the two Chisinau-based thermal power stations (CET) with the heat supplier Termocom.

CMC secretary Valeriu Didenco said that 26 Liberal, Liberal Democratic, Democrat and Socialist councillors, as well as several Communists attended the meeting, but the latter did not take part in the voting.

The councillors also approved a bill on the rectification of the municipal budget for 2012.
