Bear attacks leave two dead in Romania

A recent spate bear attacks has left two dead and several more injured in the areas around Dâmboviţa Moroieni, a town in a mountainous area near Sinaia.

The most recent attacks occurred today (September 19 ) leaving a 64 year old man dead, while a little later a shepherd was confronted by a bear, but found refuge in a hut and escaped unhurt. On Saturday (September 15 ) a man was killed and two others injured in a bear attack in the same area, according to information released by the local police.
