29 Bulgarian cities part of European Mobility Week

The capital Sofia among 29 Bulgarian cities is part of the European Mobility Week (September 16 through 22) and the European Car-free Day (September 22).

The European Mobility Week is an annual campaign of the European Commission aiming at encouraging local authorities in European countries to introduce measures for sustainable transport and call the citizenship to use transport modes different than their personal car. The campaign aims at popularizing alternative transport like bicycles, public transport or simply walking. This year’s motto of the campaign «In Town Without my Car» is «Moving in the right direction».
