Moldovan prime minister meets FIFA head
Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat met the Chairman of the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA), Joseph S. Blatter, in Chisinau on 20 September, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
The chairman of the Moldovan Football Federation, Pavel Cebanu, and the manager for FIFA development, Eva Pasquier, attended the meeting.
Vlad Filat welcomed the high-ranking European official,underlining Joseph S. Blatter's irrefutable contribution to the development of the international football. Filat said that Blatter visits Moldova for the third time already and this demonstrates that FIFA keeps a close eye on the development of the Moldovan football.
Vlad Filat also mentioned that the government has an efficient communication with the Moldovan Football Federation. At the same time, he referred to irregularities found recently within Moldovan football clubs and the actions to be undertaken to prevent the expansion of such a scourge.
