Snow hindered traffic on Romania’s highest altitude road Transalpina / PHOTO
Romania’s highest altitude road Transalpina has been partially closed after it started snowing on September 20 evening.
Snow and ice made it difficult for drivers to get from Ranca to Obarsia Lotrului, so the authorities recommended avoiding the area from Novaci to Ranca.
It snowed in the Fagaras mountains in Romania on September 19 night, with the layer of snow reaching 30 centimeters, but traffic on Transfagarasan, the other famous mountain road in Romania, was not affected.
