Crimean Council of Ministers will launch establishment of the Black Sea Underwater Research Center

Deputies of the Crimean Verkhovna Rada approved the establishment of the Crimean Republican Institution «Black Sea Underwater Research Center». Such resolution was adopted at the plenary session of the Crimean Parliament on September 26.

Establishment of the Institution will be carried out by the Government of the Autonomy. The set of the Center’s objectives will include the arrangement of work on preservation and research on cultural heritage objects, located at the Black Sea bottom near the Crimean coast, popularization of these objects, and development of propositions on their inclusion into popular tourist routes.

The financing of this Institution’s work in 2013 and in the following years will be roughly 400 thousand UAH a year.
