Based on the results of 2011 Sochi got leading positions in Kuban economics

Sochi has topped the list of municipal regions and city districts of the Krasnodar Krai based on the results of the 2011 quality assessment in the budgetary process organization.

According to Anatoliy Pakhomov, the City Mayor, mobilization of investments has been the principal factor in acceleration of growth in the economics.

«The volume of investments into the fixed capital of large and medium-size companies of the city in 2011 reached 128 billion rubles, which amount is twice as much as in 2010. More than 50 investment project are currently implemented at the Sochi territory», – the City Mayor has informed.

More than 55% of the resident population (or 235 thousand people) are engaged into the economics. In 2011 the volume of shipped products, performed works, and provided services in principal types of economic activities exceeded 340 billion rubles, ensuring the 136% growth rate against the level of 2010.
