Migration flow through Bulgaria-Turkey border increases
The flow of migration through the border between Bulgaria and Turkey has increased by 50 percent, said Bulgarian Minister of the Interior Tsvetan Tsvetanov upon opening the academic year the Interior Ministry Academy.
For that reason the governments of the two countries have discussed the creation joint patrols and a control center at Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint. One of the measures for enhanced control along the border is the sending of additional border police units, Minister Tsvetanov further informed. The border is crossed by Syrian refugees mainly, the Interior Minister added.
