«Chernomorneftegaz» will increase the production of natural gas in the Black and Azov seas up to 3 billion cubic meters

State Joint Stock Company «Chernomorneftegaz» presented a program to increase natural gas production in the Black and Azov Seas till 2015.

For four years, the company plans to acquire seven new, finish two existing fields, and increase production tripled - from 1 billion 56 million cubic meters in 2011 to 3 billion cubic meters in 2015. Already in 2014, with domestically produced gas will be fully secured Crimea, with annual demand for blue fuel is now about 2 billion cubic meters.

The reality of the task explain in the «Chernomorneftegaz» for several reasons: in developing Ukrainian sector of the Black and Azov Seas for 4 percent Ukraine already has enough to increase production of natural gas discovered in the shallow areas, and are available for «Chernomorneftegaz» both financially and technically, are located near existing infrastructure of pipelines and subsea technology platforms, the full support of the state is allowed to start the program.

«With the support of the National Joint Stock Company «Naftogaz of Ukraine» in the past two years conducted extensive work on the modernization and increase production. For example, if during the last 2 years have been purchased two high-jackup rigs, four modern vessels and specialized pipelay barge. And during the previous 19 years of Ukraine's independence - just one boat and one drilling rig, which was laid at the USSR. If for the last 2 years were built 4 platform and 116 km of gas pipelines, over the past 19 years - all three platforms and 101 kilometers of gas pipelines» - said in a statement.

According to the press service, in 2012, at the Odessa oil field will be produced at least 53 million cubic meters of natural gas. The next year - more than 600 million, and in 2014 and 2015 - more than one billion cubic meters annually.
