Ukraine and Turkey have simplified the procedure of transport of goods in railway
Transportation of goods between Ukraine and Turkey in the international direct freight rail-ferry will soon be made without re-registration of shipping documents.
That prospect appeared with the signing of the Rules of freight and organizations operating in the international freight cars direct freight rail-ferry service between the ports of Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey ports with rail service. UNN this to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Currently, the Turkish side is upgrading port infrastructure and is working on the harmonization of international transport law.
Transportation of goods without reloading (transfer) in the ports with rail and by sea and renewal of shipping documents will help to preserve the goods faster transmission to the border, shorten delivery to the recipient, as well as providing legal guarantees to customers for transportation of goods from Europe to Asia .
«We have two terminals that are able to take the ferry. Today, they are downloaded to 15-20% of capacity - Kerch and Ilyichevsk. On the Turkish side will ferry departure not only from the port Derince and Samsun and others,» - said the head of the main commercial administration Ukrzaliznytsia Yuri Merkulov.
Between Ukraine and Turkey, an increase in the volume of foreign trade of goods. For 8 months of 2012 amounted to 12 million tons, more than the corresponding period last year to 13%.
In the structure of the general transport of goods between Ukraine and Turkey dominate exports - 61% and transit to Turkey - 38%.
«Administrative formalities that arise today, due to the re-issuance of a conveyance document to another for transport by rail, sea and road transport, with ferry crossings between the ports of Ukraine and Turkey will be simplified. This opens the prospect of transport using a unified bill CIM / SMGS. Such a move opens up great possibilities for the realization of transit potential of the country to the south-north», - said Yuri Merkulov.
The importance of strengthening economic and trade relations between Ukraine and Turkey, including in the field of transport, said President Viktor Yanukovych during the second meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkish Strategic Council of the highest level. The President stressed the importance of bilateral developments regulations for the development of a direct rail-freight ferry services between Ukraine and Turkey.
