Crimea interesting to investors in Black Sea region - Khoroshkovsky

Crimea on the whole and Yalta in particular have become an investment area that is of interest to all the Black Sea countries.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Khoroshkovsky said this at the opening of the 3rd Black Sea Economic Forum in Yalta, referring to the press service of the Crimean government.

«Yalta became a platform that is of interest to all the Black Sea countries and it certainly suggests that we have common goals and objectives,» Khoroshkovsky said.

He wished all the participants in the forum reliable business partners and productive work.

«Crimea has always been very friendly and favorable for business activity,» the First Deputy Prime Minister said.

As reported, the 3rd International Black Sea Economic Forum started at the Livadia Palace in Yalta on October at the initiative of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea under the auspices of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

The general subject of the 3rd International Black Sea Economic Forum is raising competitiveness of the Black Sea region: coordination of effort and joint projects.

At this year's panel sessions the participants will discuss investment opportunities and sources of financial development of the Black Sea region, techniques to improve competitiveness of the Black Sea countries, as well as increasing productivity of agriculture and food industry, tourism development and improvement of the national tourism product, infrastructure development, investment in energy efficiency projects. The cities and regions of the Black Sea basin will share experiences of sustainable development plans, etc. In addition, it is planned to sign at the forum a number of strategic agreements.
