Forecasts on strong winds and appearance of sea whirlwinds on land at the Black Sea coast

This has been informed by Alexei Zhukovin, Head of the Civil Defence Department at the Southern regional center of the Russian Ministry for Civil Defence, Emergencies, and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters.

In addition to that, based on the analysis of the natural phenomena cyclicity, departments of the Ministry have started preparations for snowdrift at highways M-4 «Don» (Moscow - Novorossiysk) and М-6 «Kaspiy» (Moscow - Astrakhan) in the coming winter. They have already defined areas for dislocation of machinery, intended for snow cleanup, as well as the number of machinery needed.
