Agreement on investment implementation was signed at a forum in Sochi by Rostov Oblast Governor Mr. Vasily Golubev and CEO of the German company SoWiTec International GmbH Mr. Gerd Hummel.
Germans plan to build a wind power plant with maximum capacity up to 200 MW. For this, the company is likely to rent several large sites. The project will be implemented in several stages: first, the capacity of wind turbines will reach 30 MW, then it will be increased to 80-100 MW.
The project suggests construction of up to 80 turbines. Implementation will begin with wind monitoring. This process will take from 6 to 12 months, and the construction itself - another 1.5-2 years, Smart News reports.
SoWiTec Group plans to sell power to consumers in Rostov Oblast and Krasnodar Krai.
