Port Sochi will be phased into operation in May 2013

Currently, the main protective hydraulic structure and piers are being speedily built, and a protective breakwater is being erected.

It is planned that at the end of the year they will start building a terminal on a man-made peninsula with an area of 6.5 ha. Its capacity will be 14 thousand passengers a day.

Port Sochi will be the only Russian site for sea passenger traffic only. Two vessels 297 and 308 meters long with passenger capacity of 7-8 thousand people will be able to moor in a closed harbour simultaneously. Small vessels mooring will be arranged in the old port’s bay.
