Sochi, Krasnodar, Anapa, Gelendzhik and Novorossiysk under flood threat

Emergency alert due to expected heavy precipitation has been declared in Krasnodar Krai, press service of the Southern Regional EMERCOM Centre reports.

Because of heavy rains, 19 municipalities of the Krai and the cities of Anapa, Armavir, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Novorossiysk and Sochi may become subjected to flooding of low terrains and the rise of water level in rivers to dangerous marks. Malfunctions of power grids and transport operation may happen as well.
