Georgian Dream wins elections at single-mandate districts

Georgian Dream won repeated elections at 11 electoral districts on October 14, Trend reports.

The parliamentary elections were held at polling station N5 in Signakhi, N4 in Gori and 9 polling stations of Khashuri. The elections were initiated according to complaints filed by Georgian Dream.

Valery Gelashvili won in Khashuri, Gela Gelashvili in Signakhi, Vakhtang Vakhtangishvili in Gori.

Georgian Dream brought in 42 MPs according to the majority system, the United National Movement (UNM) brought 31. Georgian Dream has 45 MPs according to party lists, UNM has 32. Opposition got 87 seats of parliament, UNM got 63.

Final results will be announced before October 20.
