The Krai prosecution authorities examine the fact of soil pollution, resulted from the spillage of the oil-containing emulsion in the territory of the OJSC «Chernomortransneft» transfer tank farm in Novorossiysk.

Conducting the inspection they have established that, in the course of works on cleaning of bulk oil tanks from bottom sediment, a rupture of the flexible hose coupling had occurred in the pipeline, using which the product mixture was sent to treatment facilities.

Pursuant to the order of the Krai prosecution authorities, the Azov and Black Sea interdistrict nature protection prosecution office has commenced the inspection on the observance of environmental regulations in the process of the transfer tank farm operation.
