Early booking programmes of Bulgarian ski resorts closed

This season trend to increase terms of early booking of mountain ski tours has also worked at  Bulgarian destinations.

Nevertheless, tour operators do not expect any significant increase in the number of tourists this winter, predicting a steady tourist flow or moderate increase.

«Sales of all ski areas are ahead of schedule by 40-50%, and Bulgaria is also affected by this trend, in fact, we have already closed early booking programmes», - said Mikhail Musinyants, CEO of «Ertsog» travel company. The expert added that these programmes had begun in July, and first applications had appeared then.

The second major trend of the season, marked by tour operators is a shift in demand to pre-New Year dates by 10-15%. According to the expert’s assessment, most likely the change in demand was caused by new regulations for New Year holidays in Russia, as «skiers» prefer 12-14 day duration tours, and now they do not fit in the truncated vacation.
