Odessa hosts the 1st «Black Sea Ports and Shipping» Conference and Exhibition

On October 24 Odessa «Bristol» Hotel opened the 1st «Black Sea Ports and Shipping» International Conference and Exhibition.

It was organized by the Malaysian «Transport Events Management Limited» Company under the support of the Odessa port management.

The exposition of «Black Sea Ports and Shipping» includes 50 stands of international transportation, logistic, and shipping companies, port terminal operators, world’s leading manufacturers of handling machinery, etc.

The conference time will be devoted to approximately 30 reports and speeches, made by overseas shipping experts from the countries of Europe, the USA, the Middle East, the Southeast Asia, and the African continent.

As it can be seen from the «Black Sea Ports and Shipping» press release, «the major objective of this regional transportation and logistic conference and exhibition is the promotion of container traffic development in the Black Sea region».

According to the plans, the second «Black Sea Ports and Shipping» is scheduled for 2013 in Istanbul.
