First Crimean rail bus launched in Simferopol
The first low-capacity diesel rail bus started working at Simferopol routes on October 26.
The rail bus is used for suburban passenger traffic at non-electrified railway tracks. It will move along the route Dzhankoy – Feodosiya – Dzhankoy – Armyansk – Dzhankoy.
Bus capacity is 200 passengers, including seats, the standing room, and seats for handicapped persons. The transport vehicle is equipped with an air conditioner and a vacuum-type lavatory and has four side doors with footboards.
This bus, worth 20 million UAH, was purchased for funds from the Crimean republican budget and the Pridneprovsk Railways under equal co-financing conditions.
