Adjara road workers’ strike succeeds

The 10-day strike of road workers at Choloki (Adjara) organized by the road department and Georgian trade unions has resulted in Sino Gidro’s increasing wages by 30-33% to $3 a day.

Negotiations were organized attended by Zakaria Khutsinashvili, the new head of the road department; Ilia Verdzadze, deputy heads of the Adjara organization of trade unions, and a Sino Gidro manager.
