Russian parliament obliges migrants to speak Russian

Russia's Federation Council has passed a bill obliging foreign migrants working in the fields of housing and utilities, trade and services to undergo Russian language tests, Interfax reports.

Foreign citizens and people without citizenship will need to prove basic knowledge of the Russian language in order to receive or extend visas.
