11 thousand rare plants and trees have been planted in Sochi for 3 years

Gazprom JSC has conducted environmental campaign as part of environmental protection activities «Ecology & Sports», which accompany construction of the 2014 Olympics facilities.

In 2012, employees of Gazprom have bedded out about 5 thousand sprigs of rare species of trees and plants, Sochi Administration press service reports.

Gazprom has been conducting environmental activities in the framework of the «Ecology and Sports» program since 2009. Over this period, more than 11 thousand Red-Book and rare trees and plants have been bedded out.

By the end of 2013, 4 thousand more trees and plants will be bedded; and more than 1,000 amphibia have been relocated from Olympic facilities’ construction sites.
