EU could reconsider its financing for Bulgaria

The European Union could reconsider its financing for Bulgaria, especially in the justice and internal affairs fields.

The announcement was made by the former spokesman on Bulgaria in the European Parliament and British MEP Jeoffrey Van Orden in an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio.

«Bulgaria receives a serious financial aid from the EU. Most of the funds are allotted to the fields, which fall within the EU monitoring over Bulgaria so all the criteria set by the union can be met. There is a chance that the EU will evaluate the effectiveness of the spending and change the amounts, which will be granted to Bulgaria in the future», – ДОПИСАТЬ "ОТМЕТИЛ ВАН ОРДЕН"

In his view the warning of the European Commission for a possible special report is a distress signal, which should be thoroughly analyzed.
