Georgian Government to present draft 2013 budget to the Parliament

The Government will present draft 2013 state budget to the Parliament of Georgia on November 5. The working version of the budget was reviewed by the Government last week and finalized last weekend.

As Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri stated earlier, the 2913 budget will reach a record of GEL 8 billion (USD 4,9 billion) and the main parameters will not change from the last year. He also stressed that the funding of several ministries will be reduced.

In addition, according to the Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, funding of the President’s Administration together with the Office of the National Security Council will be reduced dramatically.

Members of the government promised the money from the budget will not be spent aimlessly. However, they noted that the state budget of 2013 will be sufficient to gradually start fulfilling the «Georgian Dream’s» pre-election promises.
