Poti port strike goes on – approximately 300 export containers waiting for dispatch

“Apaven” Stevedore Company has given its consent for unloading of the third vessel in Batumi and not in Poti. At that, Batumi has no terminals; the port is not fit for vessel unloading and has only one loading berth.

We would like to remind that on November 1 Poti Sea Port workers announced an unlimited strike, claiming they would not stop it until their demands on the salary increase and labor conditions improvement were satisfied.
