Number of crimes, committed by Bulgarians in Austria down by 30%

Chief Secretary of the Interior Ministry Chief Commissioner Kalin Georgiev had a meeting with Austria's Director General for Public Security Herbert Anderl within the frameworks of his visit to the country.

General Anderl thanked for the cooperation of the Bulgarian police forces over the last year that resulted in a 30% drop in the number of crimes, committed by Bulgarians. The cooperation between both states’ police forces gives positive results in the fight with organized crime, human trafficking and the one of luxurious vehicles, pickpocketing and mendicity. The chief secretary of the interior ministry also underlined the possibility for tight cooperation between both ministries in the sphere of cyber security.
