Unemployment end October is 11%

By the end of October unemployment in Bulgaria is 11%. It is expected that it would not go beyond 11.5% by the end of the current year, Bulgarian Minister of Labor and Social Policy said for journalists.

He reminded that various measures have been taken for finding jobs for young people. As of the beginning of the year some 30 thousand young people have started work. A large number of them work under trainee programmes and the «first job» projects.

The rest have been employed through the labor bureaus. During the second trimester youth unemployment has been reduced by 3% compared to the first three-month period of the year, reaching 28%, Minister Mladenov further pointed out.
