Sarmatian tombs found in Kuban

About 30 burials of Sarmatians were found in the Korenovsky District of the Krasnodar Territory, Yuga.ru reports.

Items of the burials date back to 2nd century BC. Mikhail Vlaskin, deputy director of the Donskoye Naslediye state office for culture of the Rostov Region, said that the findings include iron weapons.

Sarmatians were Persian-speaking nomads living in the area from South urals to Dunai from the 4th century BC to the 4th century AD.
