Moldovan Metallurgical Plant to produce 45 thousand tons of rolled metal in December

The Moldovan Metallurgical Plant (MMZ) produced in November over 36.9 thousand tons of rolled metal products, including 23.2 thousand tons of steel reinforcing and 13.7 thousand tons of wire rod.

According to the MMZ administration, the major part of the production is supplied to the CIS countries – 23.4 thousand tons, whereas the rest – 10.7 thousand tons, to the countries outside the former Soviet Union.

In December, MMZ is planning to produce 45 thousand tons of rolled metal, due to be exported to the Russian Federation, Ukraine and the EU countries.

In late November 2012, the auditor LRQA (Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance) acknowledged the efficiency of the quality management system at the Ribnita-based Moldovan Metallurgical Plant, and confirmed that it meets the quality standards put forth by the consumers and fully observes all the contractual commitments.
