Romanian Rompetrol may soon leave the Ukrainian oil product market

The Rompetrol Group N.V. oil company has declared about the possible retirement from the Ukrainian oil product market due to problems with the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

This information has been announced at the conference by the Commercial Manager of «Rompetrol-Ukraine» Kirill Zakhovavko.

«Rompetrol sees no possibilities for development in Ukraine. Therefore, the $1 billion investments, which we have planned to invest into the Ukrainian market, will be sent for development of other markets», –Rompetrol representative has stated.

The major problem includes shadow schemes for customs clearance of petrol, which exist in Ukraine. The Commercial Manager has noted that all attempts to get customs clearance for the Romanian petrol have been ignored.
