Turkey to sell four electricity distribution networks
Turkey will tender sales of four electricity distribution networks in February 2013: Yakası Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş (Anatolia part of Istanbul), Dicle Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş, Toroslar Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş and Vangölü Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş, Resmi Gazete reports.
Anadolu Yakası Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş and Toroslar Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş will be sold for $25 million each, Dicle Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş for $10 million, Vangölü Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş for $5 million.
Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said that privatization of energy facilities will continue. Akdeniz Elektrik Dağıtım supplying the provinces of Antalya, Isparta and Burdur and Bogaziçi Elektrik Dağıtım AŞ in the European part of Istanbul have already been privatized.
