11 new sanitary landfills will appear in Krasnodar Krai

The issue of solid waste recycling in the Krasnodar Krai was raised at a meeting of environmentalists, Nineth chanel reports. The Minister of Natural Resources said that 11 new sanitary landfills will be created in the Krai.

«The landfills, which we would not be ashamed of. The landfills that are really sanitary landfills, not veiled dumps», - said the Krasnodar Krai Deputy Governor Mr. Vadim Lukoyanov.

The landfills will be designed for 15 years of exploitation. The Krai’s authorities plan to build blocks for waste sorting and packaging there. The project should be fully implemented by 2014.
