National roads in northern Moldova fully unblocked

The transport movement on national roads in northern Moldova has been fully resumed.

According to the MoI Civil Defense and Emergencies Service, at the same time, local roads in 68 settlements from ten raions (Riscani, Glodeni, Singerei, Falesti, Edinet, Briceni, Soroca, Donduseni, Drochia and Floresti) are further blocked.

In southern raions, which are expected to face heavy blizzards, as many as 34 special snow-removal units and 95 have been engaged in clearing works. Over the past 24 hours, relief workers have rescued 13 vehicles stuck in snow.

The Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure also announced that snow-handing works continue to be carried out on the national roads. As many as 218 units of equipment and 330 workers have been involved in these activities.
