76 % of Bulgarians meet New Year at home
Some 76% of the Bulgarians plan to meet the New Year at home. This holds good especially for people above, retired people, inhabitants of small towns and villages as well as people of lower income.
These are data from the nationwide survey of the National Center for Public Opinion Studies. Young people up to 29 and citizens of the capital Sofia say they would decide where they would spend the New Year night on the spur of the moment. Restaurants and clubs are the choice of 5% of the polled; 6% claim they would travel to a resort or make a trip abroad. One percent of the Bulgarians will go to the open air concerts organized in the central squared of large cities. The same percentage of people admits they would be working during that time.
