By 2016 Russian Navy plans to commission 11 long-range maritime zone support vessels

Russia’s Navy Main Command together with the JSC «United Shipbuilding Corporation» has started to implement the program of renewing the Navy’s long-range maritime zone support vessels, PortNews informs.

According to Russia’s MoD press service, they also plan to design comprehensive supply vessels, multipurpose vessels of logistics, search and rescue, navigational and hydrographic support, a new generation of special, transport, search and rescue, and hydrographic vessels.
