The Romanov family’s solarium to be opened for tourists

The roof of the Livadia Palace will be opened for sightseeing this year.

This information was provided by Irina Fomenko,  the Palace's Deputy Director with the reminder that this roof was actually the Imperial family’s solarium.

The remarkable fact is that this year 400th anniversary of the reign of the Romanov dynasty will be celebrated in the Crimea. Exclusive tours for small groups of tourists will be held in the Livadia Palace both in the daytime and in the evening. Far vision equipment will be installed there for tourists to enjoy the night sky and landscapes.

The restoration is expected to be completed in a few months. Earlier the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated UAH 12,986 million for emergency prevention measures in the Livadia Palace and Park Complex in Yalta.
