Average Romanian family has monthly income of approximately 2.457 lei (540 Euros). This index was registered in the third quarter of 2012. Per capita income was 856 lei (190 Euros).

Monthly expenditures of Romanian families reached 2.214 lei - 90% of the monthly income.

Half of the income of Romanian families comes from salary, 23% - from social payments received from federal and regional budgets, other income comes from independent agricultural production.
