Romania’s Health Ministry procures flu vaccines produced in home country
According to Health Minister Eugen Nicolaescu, during 2013-2014 Cantacuzino Institute in Bucharest will produce a series of influenza vaccines.
The Ministry has ordered 1.5 million doses with the cost of 8 million lei (EUR 1.81 million), which will enable the Institute to reopen, Romania-insider reports.
In September 2012, Romania’s Ministry of Health priority was the re-opening of the Institute, as well as the production of influenza vaccines in the Romanian capital: 2012 became the first year when foreign drugs were used for the vaccination of Romanians.
