Bodies of Russian tourists buried by avalanche taken to Vladikavkaz

Bodies of three Russian climbers from the Rostov Region buried by an avalanche in the Kazbeksky District of Georgia while descending Mt. Mkinvartsveri will be taken to Vladikavkaz through the Verkhny Lars Checkpoint on the Russian-Georgian border, ITAR-TASS reports.

The Georgian Military Road remains closed due to heavy snowfall.

Another tourist who was part of the group survived the avalanche and is being treated at a hospital in Kazbegi.
