133 sites checked for earthquake resistance in Sochi

As of January 17, EMERCOM officers have checked 133 sites in Sochi after December 2012 earthquakes.

"Among the sites checked are 12 tested socially significant facilities and facilities with the massive presence of people, 67 housing sites, one energy and communal services site, 5 transport infrastructure sites and 8 facilities of Olympic significance and tourism infrastructure", - EMERCOM’s Southern Regional Centre press service reports.

EMERCOM’s All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defence and Emergency Situations presented 79 preliminary reports on the status of sites. All facilities are in operational condition.
