Moldovan parliament approves high-ranking official resignation

The MPs unanimously approved Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubco's resignation application.

Many MPs, among whom opposition Communist leader Vladimir Voronin, addressed speeches in the parliament backing Zubco's resignation.

The MPs bitterly criticized the activity of the Prosecutor General's Office over the past three years, as well as Zubco's behavior after the hunting of 23 December 2012.

Valeriu Zubco announced about his resignation of the post of Prosecutor General by late last week.
