Government grants BGN 300 000 for WFP in Syria

The Council of Ministers has granted humanitarian aid to the cost of BGN 300 000 (USD 205 000) for the activity of the World Food Programme in Syria, the cabinet press center has informed.

The decision came as an answer to the call of IN Secretary General for the urgent provision of over USD 1 billion for the most pressing needs of the people affected by the conflict in Syria. These outnumber four million citizens.
