President Plevneliev meets his three predecessors

The first informal meeting of all Bulgarian Presidents was held on January 23 in Sofia at the initiative of the current Bulgarian President Rossen Plevneliev. All his predecessors - Zheliu Zhelev, Petar Stoyanov and Georgi Parvanov attended the meeting.

After the meeting the Bulgarian head of state thanked the former Bulgarian Presidents for the opportunity to discuss topical issues, the history of the Presidential institution and all major problems the Bulgarian society is now facing.

We do not share the same opinion about all issues but we have common priorities and ideas for the prosperity of Bulgaria. The meeting aims to show presidential succession and respect towards the Bulgarian people, explained President Plevneliev.
