Moldovan envoy to Russia hands accreditation letters
Moldovan Ambassador to Russia Andrei Galbur on January 24 handed the letters of accreditation to Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin-based presidential residence, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and press relations service has reported.
Addressing to ambassadors of the 19 countries present at the event, Vladimir Putin reviewed Russia's main priorities of foreign policy both at the global and regional levels. Putin especially emphasized the United Nations Organisation's important role in the international relations, noting that all the existing issues are to be settled via political and diplomatic means and in accordance with the observance for sovereignty, territorial integrity and law supremacy.
Touching upon the relations with Moldova, Putin pointed out that they develop on the basis of friendship and spiritual ties between both countries both at the bilateral level and within the CIS. He also expressed Russia's willingness to fully contribute to the Transnistrian conflict settlement.
During the protocol discussions of the officials, Galbur said his goal within this mandate is to develop multidimensional partnership relations with the residence state.
Handing the accreditation letters marks the beginning of Galbur's official mission in Russia.
