Excessive beach areas found at 48 Crimean sanatoria

The inspection, carried out by the Crimean Resorts and Tourism Ministry, has revealed 48 sanatorium & spa and health improvement institutions of the Crimea, exceeding the established area of their beaches by more than 1 thousand square meters.

The inspection has been conducted to reveal inefficient use of beach areas, possessed by accommodation institutions. Representatives of the Ministry have measured the areas of beaches, required for the work of sanatoria and health improvement institutions, and compared them with the areas of the beaches used.

Violations have been found at the territory of Alushta, the Greater Yalta, Sudak, and Yevpatoria. The Ministry has conducted the analysis on the situation with 112 beaches.
