Moldova's state budget short of 700 million lei in 2012
Revenues to the state budget stood at 20.09 billion lei (US$1.65 billion) which is 3% less (695.2 million lei) than the planned figure.
According to data of the Ministry of Finance, the main revenues stood at 17.79 billion lei, which is 2.3% less than the forecast figure. The tax revenues were 2.4% lower than the planned ones (400 million lei).
The state institutions, financed from the state budget collected revenues of 1.172 billion lei, which is 4.9% less than expected. The receipts of the special funds made 359.1 million lei.
The revenues of the projects financed from foreign sources in 2012 stood at 773.9 million lei – which makes only a quarter of the planned sum. Out of the overall sum, grants made 732.2 million lei.
The spending of the Moldovan state budget made 21.688 billion lei (US$1.78 billion).
The deficit made 1.579 billion lei (US$130 million) and was covered by the proceeds earned from the sale and privatization of state property assets (131.9 million lei), from the sale of governmental securities (410.1 million lei), as well as from money granted in foreign assistance.
