Bulgarians protest against high price of electricity
Thousands of people in different cities and towns of Bulgaria protested on February 10 against the high prices of electricity.
The protesters in Sofia blamed the governments for their anti-national policy. They demanded the energy sector to nationalize the plants for energy distribution, all the moderators to be removed, all the contracts to be declassified and the people that signed them to be handed to the prosecution. The energy from the Kozloduy NPP to be distributed mainly on the internal market for the needs of the citizens and the society, in order for the obligatory purchase of this energy by the National Electricity Company to be removed, the protesters further demanded.
